Biography
Ruth's first job was in the telephone exchange at Marble Bar. After marriage she raised a family at Port Hedland. In 1942 she was in Sydney when the Japanese submarines shelled the city. After the war she established a family home in Riverton and had a beautiful garden. She and Ross enjoyed their grandchildren in retirement until their tragic death in 1961.
