Charles was born on 15 December 1765 and christened the next day in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière.[1] He is the son of Joseph Theriot and Marie Josèphe Girouard. His sponsors were Charles Levron and Marie Anne Poitier.
He is probably the Charles Teriau who died on September 3, 1767, and whose funeral service was held the next day as recorded in the Kingsclear (Ecouipahaq) Bailly register. The priest indicated he was 2 years old when he died. Parents were listed as Joseph Teriau and Marie Girouer.[2]
