Henry Sutton on VicFix
The State Library of Victoria's VicFix Web Portal featured Henry Sutton, whom they describe accordingly;
"Inventor-extraordinaire Henry Sutton (1856–1912) was Australia's answer to Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell. The Ballarat-born inventor made groundbreaking discoveries in the fields of radio and television, motoring, flight, photography and printing, electric storage batteries, lighting and more.
Contemporary reports highlight the inventor's Ballarat roots and his many achievements, including his telephane (the forerunner of TV), telephones, lightbulbs, dynamo and colour printing process. Sutton's name should be known in every Australian household, but our isolation and his lack of patents mean his legacy is often overlooked."
