Annie Jane (Stephens) Kanarr was born on 24 May 1875 in White Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, daughter of John Jones Stephens (1838–1920) and Anna (Trimble) Stephens (1843–1916).

Annie died on 27 May 1950 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 75.^[1] She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.

Annie married Simon Thomas Kanarr (born on 24 Nov 1869 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania; son of Jacob Kanarr and Martha Jane (King) Kanarr). Their known children were:

• John Raymond Kanarr (1899–1965)
• Herbert Day Kanarr (1917–1992)

MRS. ANNIE J. KANARR Indiana R. D. 3, died at her late home on Saturday, May 27. She was a daughter of John J., and Anna Trimble Stephens, born May 24, 1875 in White Township, Indiana County, where she lived for most of her life. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Indiana and of Mrs. Mack Sabbath School Class of the church. Mrs. Kanarr was the widow of Simon Thomas Kanarr, who passed away in 1945. Five sons and two daughters survive: John Kanarr of Rayne Township, Ralph of White Township, Merle of Armstrong Township, Chester of Grant Township, Herbert of Clarksburg, Pa., Miss Ruth Evangeline, White Township, and Mrs. Howard (Edith) Henry of Armstrong Township.
