Greetings Poland Project member! We have new information and updates:
  • For the last several months, the Poland Project has been undergoing new organization with new volunteers. We are excited about how the project can enhance Wikitree!
  • We have several different task teams that need volunteers. Please take a look at this page to see which one interests you: Volunteer Tasks. Once you have decided which task team you would like to work on, please reply to this comment.
  • The only requirements for ongoing membership in the Poland Project are that you join a team and respond to the periodic check-ins from the Project Leaders/Coordinators. We recognize that people lead busy lives and are grateful for any and all contributions you can make.
  • Once you have joined a team, please join the Poland Project Google Group to receive project updates and participate in project and team discussions. You can also follow Project news via the tags 'Poland_Europe' or 'Polish_Roots' or 'Polska' on G2G.
  • If we don’t hear from you in the next 45 days, your membership badge will be removed. In this case please don't be offended as you're welcome to rejoin at any time. Please also note, that in order to receive help researching your Polish ancestors, membership is not mandatory. Just ask your questions in the G2G forum and tag them with 'Poland_Europe' or 'Polska' in order for our knowledgeable researchers to see them.

Hi Julie,

I sent you a private message on ? about your request to take the Profile Improvement Project's PIP Voyage. It would have been in an email from WikiTree with the subject heading "Welcome to the PIP Voyage (Wiki ID)" I am following up as I haven't heard from you. I was wondering if maybe you didn't receive my message?

Pam

Oh goodness, I missed it I guess. Sorry about that. I just need you to know that I really don't know what I am doing. I know that my profiles are in need of assistance. if you look through my people you will notice I have adopted 19 profiles of my grandparents. in general these have been done better than my own attempts at the rest of my family. if this project is for people like me who need to learn how to do profiles properly I would love to join up. Thank you for your follow up and I apologize for not checking my messages. Sincerely, Julie-10273
Hi Julie,

Don't worry at all, I'm sure you'll find it loads of fun, and are sure to learn lots while on your PIP Voyage. The voyage is definitely perfect for someone like you. No need to apologize at all ~ I just wanted to check in with you.

I'll resend the private message, if you don't get it please let me know. Have a super weekend!

Hello Julie

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz and congratulations on being awarded the badge.

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. I see you have joined the Quakers project already. Fantastic!

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Thank you for signing the Honor Code, Julie.

I see that you have had your DNA tested, congratulations! Getting Started with DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.

DNA at WikiTree provides a visual way for you to find others who have tested and have the potential of having common ancestors. It normally takes 24 hours from adding a test, or adding a new ancestor, or ancestor’s descendant, for WikiTree to display your name and test results on your ancestors and their descendants’ profiles for potential cousins to compare results with.

Have fun!

Wendy ~ WikiTree Greeter

Hi Julie,

I have added you to the trusted list of Laura (Smith) Haviland.

PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
