Biography
Born in Seattle, Washington in 1957 to (Private) Folsom and Joyce Ann Mercer. They were both 23 years old. Grew up in the Central Valley of California. Married first in 1980 to Melvin Leslie Holiman, two sons were born to this marriage. Divorced in 1990 in Wasco County, Oregon. Married (Private) Simons at Bakersfield, California in 1993, two children were born to this union.
Began Genealogy study/work in 1989 or 1990. She has experience with paper sources, microfilm, Family History Centers & Libraries, pre-internet research included writing letters and waiting for an answer that might never come, collecting books, and mountains of paper.
She worked for over 25 years for West Hills Community College District as a graphic artist for print production.
As of 2020, 6 grandchildren have come along.
