Benjamin served with 1st Company Martha's Vineyard Militia with Colonel Beriah Norton. [1]

The DAR lists his daughter Mercy Smith who married Jonathan Worth Worth-1384 Married 15 Nv 1798 at Edgartown, Dukes, MA - parents of Velina, Abigail, Jonathan II, Fanny Smith, Charles & Emily.

The DAR list a son Benjamin who married married Grace Sprague.
