Please note that Caterana's estimated birth year of 1732 conflicts with the 1734 marriage of her alleged parents. Her birthplace conflicts with her parents' residence in Büdingen, Hesse.

Caterana was born about 1732 in Germany or about 1739 at Lower Saucon, Bucks, Pennsylvania.^[1]

"Caterana Seitz came from the Killian's Creek Settlement, Anson County (present-day Lincoln County). John Henry Seitz, father of Caterna, moved from PA to NC in late 1740s or early 1750s, and settled in Killian's Creek area, where he remained the rest of his life."^[2]
