NOTE: It is clear that a man named Alexandre Roy was born to parents Luffroy Roy and Ursule Matthew. His birth and death and his marriage to Dozia Trosclair are documented. What isn't documented is if he next married Eva Rowen. No death record for Dozia or birth records for children have been found to date. No marriage record for Eva Rowen and Alexander Roy has been found but there are census records and birth records for children. His death record ties him to these parents. He had a brother named Despane, and he named one of his children Louis Despane--a very unusual name. That and the fact that they both lived in the same area provide some evidence that they are the same.
