Biography

William Frederick Rowland was born 10 May 1842, the second child of James E. Rowland (1814-1854), the first husband of Catherine Avery (Morgan) Dresback (1815-1912).

The 1850 census enumerated William Rowland among his birth family in Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio.

He married in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Isabella M. MacKinnell; they had 3 children.

William F. Rowland served as U.S. consul, Nice, France

William F. Rowland died 3 Aug 1883 in Switzerland.
