Biography
William Prothro, son of Evan and grandson of James, was born on 30 Dec. 1769 in St. David's Parish, Cheraws District, South Carolina.[1][2]
He married Hesse Hickson[3]. (A woman by the married name of Hesse Prothro is mentioned in her father Thomas Hickson's will, 1810, as is also a William Prothro as co-executor[4].)
William died on 28 Sep. 1845 in Louisiana and was buried at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Mount Lebanon, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. His memorial has a copy of his obituary, a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[2]
