Hello cousin.Good to meet another Soule.Thank you for taking care of the merge.Three of my four Grand Parents are Soule decedents so I watch them close.Could you add me to the trusted list for your Soule's?

I'll let you know what I find when I get to Leonard Widner. I joined WikiTree in at the end of September, loaded in a huge GED, discovered FamilySearch.org and have been climbing up my tree cleaning up my profiles ever since and recently discovered the "Error Report" that brought the prospective merge to my attention. The profile seems to be one of those fragmented in the migration and isn't connected to others in my tree so it'll be a while before I get to it, although I'm finally closing in. I have found since having to source everything that much of what migrated in *is* junk--that a lot of info copied over from Ancestry.com Family trees can't be confirmed--or worse, is just wrong. So it wouldn't surprise me if what I have is off and John Widner/Elizabeth Janson Johnson not his parents!

Hello Ron,

I hope you're enjoying WikiTree.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Be sure to look for Duplicates before adding a profile, and always include Sources for your information.

The Help Index covers topics you may have questions about.

Our G2G Forum is where many of our generous members help each other out.

Visit our "Weekend Chat". Say hello, introduce yourself and see what other members are up to right now! http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/165143/weekend-chat-all-members-are-invited-17-18-july-2015

Of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top right, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House. You might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

We also have Mentors to help too.

Welcome! Michael F. Harris

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

If you have any brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. Because WikiTree has only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: brickwall

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM' or check out this video video tutorial.
