Biography
Prudence was born in 1774. She is the daughter of James Pease and Sarah Colton. [1]
Prudence married Asa Williams of Shutesbury Massachusetts about 1816 and Settled there.
Her daughter, Hannah Shepard Williams was born there 1817[2]
Prudence retired to Amherst Massachusetts and died there on 4 Jan. 1864. Prudence was buried at West Cemetery, Shutesbury, Franklin County, Massachusetts. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone and a link to that of Asa.[3]

Bill Pease
Prudence married an Asa Williams in Shutesbury Mass a town in the Connecticut River Valley not far from Suffield where Prudence was born. It is unlikely that she married the Asa Williams of Newton Mass who lived and died in Newton, which is in the Easter part of Mass.
