Biography

Private Asa Williams served with Connecticut Line during the American Revolution.

Asa Williams is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A125874.

Asa Williams, son of Elijah Williams and Lydia (Longbottom) Williams, was born on 2 March 1757.[1][2]

He married Hannah Shepard on 1 June 1780 at Brooklyn, Windham, Connecticut.[3][2]

He married Prudence Pease on 16 May 1816 at Somers, Connecticut.[4][2]

Asa died on 16 June 1834 at Shutesbury, Franklin, Massachusetts[5] and was buried at West Cemetery, Shutesbury, Franklin County, Massachusetts. His memorial has photos and links to those of family members.[2]

Asa wrote his will on 30 April 1834 Shutesbury, Franklin, Massachusetts. He identified his wife Prudence, and children: daughter Lydia Lamb, son Daniel Williams, heirs of my daughter Betsey Tucker, daughter Philey Leonard, son Elijah Williams, son Asa Williams and daughter Hannah S. Williams.[6]
