Nancy Paxton is sometimes said to be a daughter of Edward Paxton and Margaret Collins, but there does not seem to be a shred of evidence that they even existed (other than the 1969 book "Now and Long Ago"; which actually had Nancy as their granddaughter, not daughter; see Note 7 below). And even if they did exist, they were no where close to the Morgans (not even in the same state), so there is no reason to believe that they were her grandparents, parents, or any other relationship.
On the other hand, there is a considerable amount of evidence that Reuben Paxson/Paxton is her father, living at Tablers Station, only 4 or 5 miles from the Morgan Settlement (near Bunker Hill). Furthermore, Reuben Paxton had a relationship (marriage?) with Zackquill Morgan's sister (Ann Morgan). This evidence has been collected by Dianna Privette, and can be found here: http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/thomas/18112/
Barb Long (5x great-granddaughter of Nancy Paxton) wrote on rootsweb.com:
Nancy Paxton was born at Marsh Creek Settlement, PA (West of Gettsyburg). In 1759 she married Col. Zackwell Morgan in Frederick County, VA (now Berkeley Co., WV). They had three children: Nancy Ann m. John Pierpoint, Temperance m. John Cochran, Catherine m. Jacob Scott.

Zackquill Morgan b. Berkeley Co, ca 1735. Neither date of marriage to Nancy Paxton nor where she lived is known; Nancy Ann & Catherine's birthdates not given, Temperance b. 1761; Nancy d. ca 1763 or 1764.
2. Report of the Morgan Morgan Monument Commission, Clarksburg, WV, December 31st, 1924: Gives no dates for first marriage, to Nancy, or their three daughters; does not vouch for birthdates he gives, stating they were from the D.A.R.; says "Zackquill" is the spelling used by his father.

Unfortunately, file at WVU Library does not contain Mr. Paxton's end of the correspondence.

A John Paxton who lived on Irwin Ave, Pittsburgh was the owner of this Bible in 1938. That implies that Nathaniel Springer & Nancy Paxton were grandchildren of Edward & Margaret Paxton, and therefore, Nancy's father must have been a brother of Margaret Paxton. P. A. We don't have any answers, but want to let you know we have been on the same quest for many years. Dick's lineage from Nancy & Zackquill is: Nancy Ann & John Pierpont, Zackquill Pierpont & Dorcas Ridgway, Sarah Pierpont & Enos Coburn, Calvin Coburn & Sarah Ellen Copelin, Carroll & Erma.
Coburn, Dick.
We have some of the data in your post, but with "about" for the date and only several possibilities for the marriage place, as well as for Nancy's birthplace. Where did you find the marriage data? We have 1755, Rockbridge Co, VA from one source, and 1759, Berkley Co, VA from another, neither one documented. We have 1756? and 1759? for Nancy Ann's birthdate. 1
