Nicole Marie (Patterson) Adams was born on 24 Sep 1972 in Oshawa, Durham, Ontario, Canada. Her parents were Kenneth William Patterson (1950 - 2010) and M (Brisebois) Patterson (living).

I have been researching my family tree since 1993. I have an undergraduate degree in French and a master's degree in Library and Information Science and am also hold a Professional Learning Certificate from the National Institute for Genealogical Studies, with a specialization in Canadian records.

I work as a Genealogy and Local History Librarian for a public library in Ontario which gives me an interesting perspective on how collections are organized and how people approach their family research.

I speak both English and French and am experienced in Canadian research, with a particular specialty in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick records. I also have extensive experience in researching American, Scottish and English records.

I have developed skills in analyzing DNA test results, tracing the trees of DNA matches to find common ancestors and helping confirm traditional records research.

Hello Nicole,

Love your bio (I also have a background in Library sciences).

I saw that you manage Doucet-2615? Mary Rita Doucet (1894, Bathurst) is my great-grand-mother (her son, my grandpa, isn't mentioned on her details). I could help with that.

Thanks, Alex C.

Hi Nicole,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.
