Solomon Page was born in Hampton ,Rockingham County, New Hampshire March 16, 1710. He was the son of Samuel Page and Anne Marshall Page.[1]
He graduated from Harvard College with the class of 1729, and worked as a schoolmaster in Hampton for a number of years. He also served as a preacher, although there is some question as to whether or not he was ordained. He moved from Hampton to Bath, Maine around 1758.[1]
Solomon married Dorothy Dunster around 1732. After her death in 1741, he was married again to Judith Hall. Little is known about where or when this marriage took place. He had four children with Dorothy and seven with Judith.[1][2] [Solomon's will dated April 4, 1787 left I/2 of his farm to his wife Judith and 1/2 to his son, Edward Hall Page. It also included bequests to the heirs of his son Nathan deceased;, to children of his daughter Ruth, deceased; and to timothy, Dudley, Owen and Dorcas.[1]
He died in Bath, Maine, on March 12, 1788, aged 78. He is buried in Witch Spring Cemetery, Bath.[1][3] [4]
