Biography

Early Life

Eva Lavenia Neilson was born in 28 November 1902. She was the daughter of George Neilson and Martha Ellen (Mabee) Neilson. ^[1]

In 1911, Eva (aged 8) lived in Simcoe, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada, with her parents: George (aged 56), Farmer, and Martha (aged 49), and her siblings: Martha (aged 23), Pearl (aged 21), Lilly (aged 19), Jessie (aged 17), Ada [Hazel] (aged 14), Minnie (aged 11), and Mabel (aged 5). George was Presbyterian, his wife was Methodist, three daughters: Martha, Ada (Hazel), and Minnie, were Anglican, and the rest of the family were Baptist.^[2]

In 1921, Eva (aged 18), worked as a Hentry Helper, and was living at 118, 3 Union Street, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada, with her parents: George (aged 64) and Martha (aged 56), as well as two of her sisters: Minnie (aged 21) and Mabel (aged 16).^[3]

Eva married Laurence Simpson on 27 February 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.^[4]
