Biography

Early Life

David Neilson was born 3 June 1870 in Charlotteville, Norfolk, Ontario, Canada. His parents were John Fisher Neilson, Farmer, and Elizabeth (Wyley) Neilson.^[1][2]

In 1881, David (aged 11) lived in Charlotteville, Norfolk South, Ontario, Canada, with his parents: John (aged 56), Farmer, and Elizabeth (aged 51), and his siblings: George (aged 25), Mary (aged 23), Thomas (aged 21), Ellen (aged 19), Elizabeth (aged 15), Ann (aged 15), Cathrine (aged 13), Francis J. (aged 13), and Sarah Jane (aged 6). Their religion was Presbyterian.^[3]

In 1891, David (aged 21), single, Farm Laborer, lived in Charlotteville, Norfolk South, Ontario, Canada, with his parents: John (aged 67), Farmer, and Elizabeth (aged 63), and his siblings: Thomas (aged 31), Farm Laborer, Annie (aged 25), and Sarah (aged 16). Their religion was Presbyterian.^[4]

Death & Burial

David (aged 34), Laborer, died 6 August 1904 in Norfolk, Ontario, Canada. The cause of death was recorded as cancer of the stomach.^[12] David was buried with his wife, Ida, in Woodhouse United Church Cemetery, Halfway House Corner, Norfolk County, Ontario, Canada^[13]
