Early Life

Elizabeth "Lizzie" Neilson was born in September 1864.^[1]

In 1881, Elizabeth (aged 15) lived with her parents: John (aged 56) and Elizabeth (aged 51), in Charlotteville, Norfolk South, Ontario, Canada, and her siblings: George (aged 25), Mary (aged 23), Thomas (aged 21), Ellen (aged 19), Ann (aged 15), Cathrine (aged 13), Francis J. (aged 13), David (aged 11), and Sarah Jane (aged 6). Their religion was Presbyterian.^[2]

Family Life

Elizabeth married James Walter Cullimore before 1891.^[3]

In 1891, Elizabeth (aged 25) and her husband James Cullimore (aged 34), Wagon Maker, lived in Walsingham, Norfolk South, Ontario, Canada. Their religion was Baptist.^[3]

In 1911, Elizabeth (aged 43) and her husband, James Walter Cullimore (aged 52), Carpenter in a Foundry, lived in Colborne Street, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada, with her nephew, Frank Neilson (aged 10). Their religion was Baptist.^[4]

Research Notes

1. Her year of birth is recorded as 1864 in her death record.^[1] and 1868 in the 1911 Census^[4]. Since the obituary states she died aged 75 then the year of birth per her death record is more accurate.
2. The 1881 Census records her father and mother.^[2] Her death record has the correct mother but records William as her father.^[1]
