Margherita Navarra is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Antonio Navarra and Innocenza Cutrera. She is named after her paternal grandmother.
Margherita marries Gaetano Palumbo on 28 November 1882.[1][2]
Margherita and Gaetano have at least five children: Giuseppe Benedetto (1884), Giuseppe Maria (1886), Carmela (1891), Antonio (c. 1891), and Francesca (1895).
Giuseppe Maria is baptized 28 January 1886.[4] Giuseppe is named after his paternal grandfather. Because his name is so close to his older brother's, it's very likely the older boy has died in infancy.
Francesca is born 1 February 1895 and baptized two days later. Her godparents are Giovanni Rizzo and Maria Concetta Navarra (Margherita's sister), a married couple.[6] The civil record of her birth, in her parents' home at via Amari, 18, calls her "Innocenza." Her father, Gaetano, is a borgese.[7]
Antonio marries in New York in 1919.
