He was buried on February 8, 1593 (Julian calendar) at St. James's Chapel, Didsbury, Lancashire, England; the burial record reads "John the sonne of Rowland Moseley of the Hough end gent" (see also "Booker", p. 70; "Mosley Memoranda", p. 10).
