Biography

This John Mosley (the second child of the same name born to the same couple) has to have been born in 1790 (i.e., prior to January 9, 1791, the date on which he was baptized at the Collegiate Church of St. Mary, St. Denys, and St. George, Manchester) , and probably within a day's walk of the church. We believe he was a son of John (Moseley) Moseley and Catharine Stodhartt (Moseley) Mosley. He was baptized as "John son of John and Catherine Mosley".

This John Mosley also has to have passed away at some time between 1791 and 1797 either in or near to Manchester, Lancashire, or in or near to Warrington, Lancashire, i.e., prior to the date of the baptism of the third child of the same name born to the same couple, who would be baptized at the Collegiate Church of St. Mary, St. Denys, and St. George, in Manchester, on April 23, 1797.
