Biography

Sir Oswald Mosley, 2nd Bt. was a son of Sir Oswald Mosley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Thornhaugh. His birth was noted in the Register of Old Chapel-Presbyterian Dukinfield Cheshire^[1]: Oswald son of Oswald Mosely, grandson of Oswald Mosley of Ancotes Esq was born Aprill 21 1705. His baptism took place at Our Lady & St Cuthbert Priory, Worksop Nottinghamshire^[2][3]: Oswald son of Mr Oswald Mosely, Gent, 25 Apr 1705 [Worksop: mother's family home]

He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mosley, of Rolleston, co. Staffs [G.B., 1720] on 10 June 1751.

He died, unmarried & intestate, on 26 February 1757 at age 51 and his brother John was made administrator of his estate.^[4]
