Ambrose Ulissis Moser was born on 1 May 1865 in Millville, Clayton, Iowa, United States, son of Anthony Donald Moser (1834–1922) and Euphrasia Zereda Barnett (1841–1924).^[1]

Ambrose married Elvira Neal (born about 1888 in Oregon).^{[2] [3]} Their children were:
