Euphrasia was born on 8 May 1841[1] in Linn County, Iowa [2] She was the daughter of John Barnett and Sarah Webster[1] and was listed with her parents in the 1850 census for Millville, Clayton, Iowa [3]. She was 15 years old and still living with her parents and siblings in the 1856 Iowa census [4]
On June 15, 1861 Euphrasia married Anthony Donald Moser in Cassville, Grant, Wisconsin. [5][6][7][2][8] Anthony and Zereda had their first child, Frances on April 24, 1862 in Millville, Clayton County Iowa.
By the 1870 census,, Euphrasia and Anthony's children were listed as: Francis H (8), Ambrose (5), Willis T (3) and Sarah W (1), in Madison County, Nebraska. The Mosers were family 181 in this census; on the same page Euphrasia's parents, John and Sada Barnet, are family 175 and her youngest brother Alvinzo heads family 176. [9]
In the 1880 census Anthony and Euphrasia are in Elk, Clayton, Iowa with their 5 youngest children. Frances, Ambrose, and Willis are not listed here, but Frances' future husband, Francis Nicol is listed with his father William at the bottom of the same sheet. [10]
Sometime before 1890 Euphrasia divorced Anthony. "In 1892 she moved from Denver, Colo. to Springdale, Wash. where she was married to Edward Francis."[5][11][12] In 1920 Euphrasia moved to Minnesota to live with her daughter, Mrs. Francis B. Nicol [5]. She died there, in Marion, Olmsted, Minnesota, on February 23, 1924 [1] and was buried on February 25th at Oakwood Grove Cemetery in Rochester, Minnesota.[13]
