This Solomon Morgan, born 4 Feb 1745 at Groton, Connecticut, was a son of Solomon Morgan (1708-1791) and Mary (Walworth) Morgan (1721-aft.1796).
Solomon Morgan was a minister; was settled over Nazareth Church at Voluntown in April, 1772; in September, 1783, he was settled over the church at Canterbury. In 1784, he delivered at Groton one of the first of the series of Fort Griswold anniversary sermons.
He married first, Eunice Avery, with whom he had 9 children, some with birth dates not yet evident:
Eunice (Avery) Morgan died May 2, 1793, probably at Canterbury. Rev. Solomon Morgan is said to have gone to North Canaan in 1798. He married 2nd, the widow Haskell.
Rev. Solomon Morgan named in his will the following children, viz. - sons Solomon, Parke, William and Elisha; and daughters Eunice, Mary and Nancy, as living at the date of his death, 3rd Sept. 1804 [1]. His grave is in Mountain View Cemetery, North Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA [2].
