Biography

Llewelyn Morcom was born in Minera, Denbighshire, Wales.

Llewelyn Morcom died young.

Llewelyn was born in 1876. He is the son of Joseph Morcom and Ann Evans. His birth was registered in the Apr-May-Jun quarter of 1876 in the Wrexham district.^[1]

He was baptised on 19 July 1880 in Minera, Denbighshire, Wales. His father was described as a Mine Captain and the family home was at Tabor Hill, Penygelli, Denbighshire.^[2]

The family appears to have been non-conformist (there is an absence of Anglican records for them on line Hughes-14320 6 May 2023) and Llewellyn's late Church of England baptism suggests he may have been seriously ill at this time and his mother wanted a Christian burial for him.

His father had died at the beginning of 1880 ^[3] and Llewellyn died on 13th August, 1880^[4]

Llewellyn's death (age 4) was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1880 in the Wrexham district. ^[5]

He was laid to rest with his father in Wrexham Cemetery, Wrexham, Wales with a death date of 1880.^[6]
