Biography

Arthur was born in 1862. He was the son of John Miller and Hannah Chatfield. After his father died he worked as a barber in Marengo and lived with his mother. His younger brother Charles Miller moved to Utah where he was a florist. Arthur and their mother Hannah soon joined Charles in Utah. Arthur later left Utah after his brother and mother died and by 1930 he was living in Pocatello, Idaho and working at the Idello Hotel. He was a single man and certainly not the father of Dr. Joy Preston Miller as the Find A Grave listing indicates by linking their graves. That was a different Arthur S. Miller who married and lived in Nebraska.
