Yes I have still been working on some profile improvment projects. Mostly on family members, Mom (Sawyer-6195), Dad (Michaelsen-108), Uncle (Sawyer-6199) are done and some of the Mayflower Profiles I worked on. If there are any projects that need some help please have them drop me a line, right now I am just puttering around for the most part. I am fairly good at getting the "Meat & Potato's" citations that are needed to be added to profiles and I am getting better overall profiles.
We recently left a message on your profile to check in with the Profile Improvement Project (PIP). If you would like to continue with the Project, please let us know.
We would like to hear from you with any ideas or suggestions. If you do not wish to participate in the Project, please let us know. If we don’t hear from you within 14 days we will remove you from the Project, but we will welcome you back at any time.
The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and respond to let us know that you are content with your current team or if you would like to be more involved.
The Project operates in a team structure. There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
There are currently three different Biography Teams - The Biography Team, the Abandoned Team, and the Popular Team.
You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team. The Biography Team works on profiles from their watchlist and other profiles that interest them. Are you happy with the Team you are on? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.
If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup. We use the WikiTree Discord server #profile-improvement channel for our project. Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project meet its goals. We would like to hear about the successes you’ve had and would also appreciate any feedback you have to help improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or via private message to one of us.
Jeff, thank you for replying to the Miitary and War check in. You mentioned updating a half dozen profiles for Veterans of different wars. Therefore I have marked you as Active. Will you be able to update/add sources, or find other Veterans in 2024? I hope so.
Thanks, I have access to Fold3 so if anyone needs help researching records on someone in their tree then have them send me an email and I will do what I can to help them.
Jeff
Jeff thank you for the reply and offer for helping with research. If you see any needing sources, jump in. If you feel reluctant, you can always post a note on the page with your kind offer..... If the profile is pvc white (open) you should be able to do so. But some of us don't want to step on toes...
I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the Military and War Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have no yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?
If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Mary, Project Coordinator, Military and War Project
Sorry for not answering sooner. I have not been doing any work on the Militar and war Projects. I have updated a half dozen profiles for Veterans of different wars, but not much past that. Not sure if that still qualifies me?
Thanks
Jeff M.
This is the time for the annual 2024 check in with members of the Military and War Project. Have you been active during the last six months in the Military and War Project? Do you want to remain working with this project? Note that it is a requirement to respond to the Military and War Project Check-ins. Please respond to this message by clicking the reply button below this message, to post your answer. I look forward to hearing from you..
It is once again time for our annual Ireland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:
If you would like to continue as an Ireland Project member. If your answer is yes, please tell us if you are happy with your current team, or if you would prefer to join a different one. If you are currently participating in more than one team we would appreciate you ranking them in their order of importance to you, from highest priority to lowest. This information will be helpful as we consider possible future changes to our team structure.
In the past, the project has had a very minimal membership requirement (one contribution per year) for badged members to meet. Do you believe this is adequate, or should this requirement be increased? What do you believe would be a reasonable commitment to expect from all project members?
How active have you been in the Ireland Project over the past year? Please choose one of the following options: a) I normally spend 1-5 hours per month helping achieve my team’s goals. b) I normally spend 6-10 hours per month helping achieve my team’s goals. c) I spend over 10 hours per month helping achieve my team’s goals. d) I am not able to contribute every month but have spent approximately ________ hours during the past year improving Irish profiles.
Please provide feedback on any things you’d like to see the project do more of in the future.
You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you no longer are able to participate in the Ireland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.
Many thanks for all that so many of you have contributed to the project in the past year, and very special thanks to those who answered the project’s call and gave generously of their time to be part of Team Seanchaithe during the most recent connect-a-thon. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

I have been working profiles of Military Members in my family tree (1776, 1812, Civil war, WWI, WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. That and trying to answer questions and provide Fold3 Sources to folks on the G2G questions.
Sorry no one has informed me of any actual "Projects" that the group has going, if someone has one going on and needs help, please have them contact me. What I would really like to do is find a group that is working on "Pre Revolutionary war British Colonial Militia" basically any one serving in the British or Colonial Military before the revolutionary war?
Thank you for replying to the Military and War check in, Jeff. I marked you as Active. I also notified the leader about your offering to help on projects and the two you have the most interest in. And wrote it down on the Google doc for myself to remember.
Hi Jeff, Mary forwarded her comment to me. I have a WWII project that I started if you are interested, Operation Tidal Wave. It is not a associated with Pre or Revolutionary War but it is active and there are a lot of flyers to build profiles for.
I am just happy to achieved the goal of 200 Profiles I set for myself, next thon will be 250! As always it was fun taking with my team members! See ya at the next Thon.
We're doing our semi-annual check-in to ask whether you have made contributions to the project in the last six months?
Please note that it is a requirement for membership in the 1776 Project that you respond to this check-in. Please post your response as a reply to this message on your page, for convenience of record keeping.
I have 16 out of 19 Members in my tree done. I have added other profile that came out of profiles I generated during the Connect-A-Thons (Not sure how many?) Once I get my last three Know Profile done if someone needs help have them contact me. I have access to Fold3 and their records.
Jeff, Thank you for joining Team Roses for the January Connect-A-Thon and helping us add 6887 new profiles. It was such a great time! Our next event will be in April. Our Discord channel is open all year around, so feel free to keep chatting!
Jeff Michaelsen participated with Team Roses during the 2022 Connect-a-Thon, and added 166 connections.
Thanks for your consistent sourcing with us, Jeff!

Jeff Michaelsen reached the Golden Achievement milestone by sourcing at least one profile in every month of the 2021 Sourcerers Project Sourcerers' Challenge.
Thank you for your contributions to the December 2021 Sourcerers Challenge! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.
Thank you for your 53 contributions to the November Sourcerers Challenge! As you know, every source added to an unsourced profile improves our One Tree. Thank you for taking time from your own family history to help others.
Jeff, Thank you for all of your hard work during the SAT helping Team Roses clean up 4500 profiles. You did a great job! It's a wonderful feeling knowing how much good we did. Emma
My pleasure, I look forward to what ever the next team activity is? While it was a little frustration at times, it was a good learning experience. Just with the Family Search had not changed there search format just days before the event.
Regards,
Jeff M
Yeah, I spent a lot of time pulling my hair out over the slower ability to search on FS. It's still bad. I'll let you know when I find out about the next challenge. They're talking about one at the beginning of the year, but I don't know yet. Emma
Thanks, Sorry but I still have not figured out how to add this tag to my profile. Can you send me the stickers Template in a Private E-mail. Also what do I have to do to earn a Bio builder sticker?
Thanks again,
Jeff M
My pleasure. This is the first one of these I have earned so I have a Question? Do I add this to my profile? if so how or will it show up in my badges?
Thanks,
Jeff
You can add it to the biography section of your profile. Check the email you received about the comment being posted. It may have the sticker template or it may just show the sticker. If it has the sticker template, copy that and edit your profile. Anywhere below the Biography heading, you can paste the sticker template and when you save the sticker will be there.
Let me know if the sticker template isn't in the email and I will send it to you via a private message.
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
I noticed that you used the Challenge Tracker to track a change during last month's Sourcerers' Challenge. Please consider officially joining us for the Sourcerers' Challenge. You can find information, including how to join, on the Sourcerers Project page.
No pressure, every profile with a source makes our WikiTree better. Your work will continue to be included on the Tracking Sheet even if you do not register.
Jeff, Thank you for joining Team Roses for the 2021 Connect A Thon and working so hard to help us to create 7384 new connections! You did a great job figuring out the ropes and jumping in there! Emma :-)
That would be the Source A Thon which usually takes place the last weekend in September/first weekend of October. We will be sourcing as many existing unsourced profiles as we can. You can read the rules here:
Hi Jeff, I see you used the USBH Connecting Challenge button on the tracker to record 9 profiles you added sources to. I assume you meant to use the Sourcerer's Challenge button instead. I wanted to let you know so you can choose the correct button in future on the tracker and get credit for the challenge you are working on. Thanks, Emma MacBeath~~US Black Heritage Project www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:US_Black_Heritage:_Connecting_Challenge
The New Member thing said it had 10 recommendations but I only saw 6 so I have been going along them Where are the other four? So far I think have gotten four major branches of the family linked into the world tree that goes back pre 1500, recommended and approved some merges, Emailing profile mangers with research requests and information challenges. Tring to add at least two new profile entries with citations a day. 382 contribution to date. I have my first Club 100 badge, Pre 1700 cirt , Gedcom Eqip, DNA, Honer Code, Mayflower Project, and Volunteer Badges ... guess I am plugging right along. Now working toward becoming one of those Data Witch Doctor, and getting Pre 1500 cirt. I should start working on one of the Mayflower projects soon, waiting on my Silver Book. Do I have any questions? That is a loaded question ... yea only about a million! But Lucky for you, I am working on them and so far everyone up here on Wikitree and been great with lots of people like you are helping me along. All in all, I would have to say everything is going Great.
Thanks for asking,
Jeff M
As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

PS Have you noticed that WikiTree adds a link to you and your DNA tests on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants? It normally takes 24 hours. For more information on DNA, see
Getting Started with DNA FAQ.
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

User must verify all info. Please delete any info that might allow ID Theft before sharing. Thanks to the many who have provided info directly and through Rootsweb, the IGI, FamilySearch.org, Ancestry.com, and many other sources over the years.
We would appreciate any additions or corrections as a gedcom file. There are errors in this data due to software glitches, our errors, and the unintentional errors of many people and many sources.
This data is the result of many thousands of hours of research by my wife and myself and many people. Do add your data to FamilySearch.org for free so anyone can access it now or hopefully for hundreds of years for free.
Our time for research is about gone. If you contact me I will try to provide sources and notes, pedigree charts, descendant and ancestor pdf file books, etc., for many of the people in this file, as time permits.
I do have a Robert A. Ingalls (1568) in my Ancestry Tree
https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tree/18850916/family?cfpid=722391593 My Ancestry tree is Public and feel free to grab whatever information you see that is correct, Unfortunately I think there is a lot that is incorrect. He is 9 or 10 Generations back and I have not had a chance to verify a lot of the information in that line. At least not to Wikitree standards. anyway, I will go through that line and update the hints but I have been rejecting more than I have been accepting.
I went back and had a look at some of my Sources for the Ingalls Line. My primary source is:

Thanks for asking, Jeff M
As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now, I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the New Member How-To been helpful, or left you with any questions?
I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. To contact me, be sure to use the "reply" link below this comment so that I will be notified. You can also click my name to send a private message, or post a comment, on my profile page.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS Have you noticed that WikiTree adds a link to you and your DNA tests on the profiles of your ancestors and their descendants? It normally takes 24 hours. For more information on DNA, see Getting Started with DNA FAQ.
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz.

Robert Ingalls, Born abt 1563, about 15105 of his Descendants
to Ancestry.com
Please see if it includes your Ingalls Ancestry and is correct. It does not include living people.

Ingalls (1568) in my Ancestry Tree https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tree/18850916/family?cfpid=722391593 My Ancestry tree is Public and feel free to grab whatever information you see that is correct, Unfortunately I think there is a lot that is incorrect.
My primary source is: Genealogy and History of the Ingalls Family in America Living descendants of Edmund Ingalls who settled in Lynn Mass. in 1629 Compiled By Charles Burleigh, MD Malden Mass here is the link https://archive.org/details/genealogyhistory00lcburl/page/n6/mode/2up
Edmund is Roberts Son,
One of our mentors created a tutorial for the GEDCOMpare process that I found very helpful. I hope that you will too.
