Biography
Fara was born in 1851 [1] to Vito Marino and Domenica Giambalvo [2]. In 1873 at age 22, she married her first cousin 22-year-old Gaspare Marino [3], a traveling field hand.
Fara was named for her maternal grandmother, Fara Guzzardo.
Research Notes
There is no birth record for Fara in Santa Margherita for years 1852 through 1867. This 1851 birth record must be hers, despite the discrepancy in age. A birth in 1851 means she was 22 at marriage, not 15 as reported in her marriage record.
