Biography

Gaspare was born in 1851 to Gaetano Marino, a field hand, and Catarina Sciara ^[1]. In 1873 at age 22, he married 22-year-old Fara Marino ^[2], a first cousin. Per his marriage record, Gaspare was a traveling worker, probably farming.

Gaspare was named for his paternal grandfather, Gaspare Marino.
