Anna was born in 1847 to Vito Marino and Domenica Giambalvo ^[1]. In 1867 at age 20, she married Leonardo Gulotta, described as middle class ^[2]. It is not yet known if they had children.

Anna was named for her paternal grandmother, Anna Cusenza.
