Joseph Lepage was born on March 12, 1734 in St-François, Île d'Orléans, Montmorency, Nouvelle-France, son of Joseph Page (1677–1739) and Marie Fournier (1697–1772).

Joseph (23) married Françoise Gobeil (19) (born on September 23, 1738 in St-Jean, Île d'Orléans; daughter of Jean-Francois Gobeil and Marie Françoise Gosselin) on January 23, 1758 in St-Jean, Île d'Orléans. Their children were:

Joseph died on May 6, 1812 in Ile d'Orleans, Quebec, aged 78.
