David Ross, assignee of Johnson Hodges vs. Joseph was called on petition in May 1762 in Goochland County, Virginia. This was regarding a debt charge recorded against Joseph in 1761. Joseph stated he was under 21 at the time he signed for the debt. He lost the case anyway.[2]
Joseph was involved in other cases, where his father, John Page, gave security for him. These cases were dismissed. Joseph didn't own any land according to the deed records of Goochland County, but he was listed as a neighbor of George Southerland in a deed dated 1763. Joseph was listed on the tithable Lists first in 1760 and last in 1767. The last time Joseph appeared in the records of Goochland County was at Sep 1767 Court.
