In case you’d like to continue creating profiles for these soldiers we have a new space page https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:POW%27s_Who_Died_in_Andersonville_Prison whose purpose is to steadily create profiles for the 12,681 soldiers buried in Andersonville National Cemetery.
Thank you again for joining the Challenge.
We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.
If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Jonathan Hanzel Green came to Ohio from Virginia with George Green, his uncle, settling in Fairfield county, Ohio in 1803, then to Licking county, Ohio near the site of the present village of Johnson, in 1807 and they were the first settlers there. Mahala the child of George and Diadema Willison Green was born there, being the first white child in Monroe township. She later in life married Basil Butt, a half brother to Johnathan Hazel Green, and began housekeeping on the banks of the Raccoon Creek, and Johathan Hazel Green, was, after his return from the war of 1812, married to Susan Mullen, and they took up housekeeping just across the road from the Basil Butt home. Jonathan Hazel Green was a second corporal in Captain Joseph Sutton's company and as such was a veteran of the War of 1812, Battle on Lake Erie Colonel Charles Miller's third regiment, first brigade, Ohio militia enlisting at Frankinton, now Columbus, Ohio Sept. 30, 1812 and was mustered out at the same place March 30, 1813. About the year 1841, Jonathan Hazel Green died as a result of a strenuous campaign, in an effort to defeat William Henry Harrison for President, though Mr. Green himself was a Whig, he was not for General Harrison. His activity in the campaign brought on an attack of lung trouble, which terminated in "quick consumption:. A few years later the family sold "all" and made the trip overland to northwestern Illinois, settling in Carroll and Whiteside counties. The family home was on what is known as the Jim Green farm near Thomson, Illinois. James being the guardian of the minor children during the years of their minority. Came to Ohio from Virginia with George Green settling in Fairfield in 1803 then to Licking Co., in 1807. Were early settlers in Licking Co., Ohio. George Green was Jonathon's uncle
Green, Jonathan H. Green who died Aug. 9, 1841, aged 49 years _m & 13 days Veteran of the War of 1812, Battle on Lake Erie. Jonathan Hazel Green. More About JONATHAN HAZEL GREEN: Census: 1840, Monroe TWP; Licking County, Ohio Military: 1812, War of 1812 Jonathan Hazel GREEN. Jonathan Hazel was born in Berkeley Co, VA (now Jefferson Co, WV) on 22 July 1792. Jonathan Hazel died in Monroe Twp, Licking Co, OH on 9 August 1841; he was 49. Buried in "Old" Green Hill Cemetery, Licking Co, OH. Occupation: Farmer. In 1807 Jonathon came to Licking Co, OH with his uncle George Green. Prior to that the family may have been in Fairfield Co, OH. While in Licking Co, they located near the present village of Johnstown, OH. He served in the War of 1812 prior to his marriage. He started life as Jonathon Hazel Butt, and enlisted in the War of 1812 as Jonathon Hazel Butt (alias) Green. He served in Joseph Sutton's Ohio Militia. He entered the army as a teamster, but later became an "active soldier". He participated among others in the battle of Lake Erie under General William Henry Harrison, and was among those soldiers who almost starved during the siege of Ft. Crogan. On all legal documents; marriage, tax records, and will, he used the name Green. Most of the time Hazel Green, as he used on his will. Family lore has it that his father Charles had been married (prior to his marriage to Maxie), to Louisa Butt, and it is Louisa we now think to have been his mother; however no verification of this marriage has ever been found. No copy of Charles' will, nor any adoption papers were ever found to help explain this little mystery. The Licking Co. Courthouse burned down in 1875 and all records were lost. Though himself a Whig, Jonathon campaigned against William Henry Harrison when he ran for president; most likely because of his experiences under Harrison's command in the War of 1812. His activity in the campaign brought about an attack of "lung trouble", which terminated in "quick consumption". He is buried in the old section of Green Hill Cemetery, the stone reading "Jonathan Green". Before he died some of his older sons had already moved to Carroll and Whiteside Counties in Illinois. After his death, the rest of the family "sold all", and taking their Mother with them, moved on to Northwestern Illinois, settling in Whiteside and Carroll Counties. All of Jonathon's children were born in Hartford Twp, Licking Co, Ohio. Research: Index to War of 1812 Pension Files; Correspondence with Robert M. Green, Lakeland, FL; Will of Hazel Green: July 7, 1842, Licking Co, OH; Carroll and Whiteside Co., IL census records and histories; "The Green Tree", by Robert M. Green On 3 February 1816 when Jonathan Hazel was 23, he married Susannah MULLEN, daughter of James MULLEN & Charity HOOVER, in Licking Co, OH. Susannah was born in Germany on 5 August 1799. Susannah died in York Twp, Carroll Co, IL on 3 November 1890; she was 91. Buried in Upper York Cemetery, York Twp, Carroll Co, IL. Susannah came to the U.S. from Germany with her parents settling first in Pennsylvania, then Virginia, and on to Ohio where she met and married Jonathan Hazel Green. After his death she, with Jonathan Jr. and four of her daughters, followed her son James to Carroll Co, IL. She ended her days living with her youngest daughter (Mrs) Malvina Pape, in Whiteside Co, IL. At the age of 92 she could still read and hear well.
Also, I noticed you are researching 3 of the same surnames I am: Hicks, Jackson, and Walker. (Mine aren't listed in my tags.) I can't see if we are related because your profile is private but maybe you can check.
Thanks, Greta
