Biography
Maria Rosa Labruzzo is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Giuseppe Labruzzo and Marianna Jannazzo, second cousins who married in 1864.[1]
Maria Rosa's family has several markers of the mafia in Corleone. As well as being the product of a consanguineous marriage, two of Maria Rosa's brothers married close relations on their mother's side: a kind of alliance marriage. The brothers, Luciano and Stefano, are named in Mafia leadership in Corleone. Through her husband, Maria Rosa has more Mafia relations: her brother-in-law, Ignacio, is married to the daughter of Paolino Streva.
Maria Rosa marries Francesco Rizzo, son of Angelo Rizzo and Rosalia Saporito, and the widower of Maria d'Anna, on 14 April 1925.[2]
