Biography

Henry was born on 27 November 1798 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, the son of George and Magdalena Fye Kring.[1]

He married Mary "Polly" Schaffer in 1822 in Cambria county, Pennsylvania. They had thirteen children:

  • Mary (1825-1889)
  • Barbra (1825-1862)
  • Elizabeth (1826-1889)
  • Jacob S. (1827-1893)
  • Benjamin (1831-1847)
  • Henry C. (1832-1843)
  • Samuel (1833-1901)
  • Daniel (1833-1919)
  • Frederick (1835-1922)
  • David S. (1836-1920)
  • Gideon (1839-1875)
  • Infant Kring (no date)[2]

He died on 7 August 1877 in Cambria County, Pennsylvania. He was buried in the Selix Cemetery, Selix, Pennsylvania.[3]
