Biography

Samuel Kring was born on 13 May 1813 at Elton, Cambria, Pennsylvania. He married Rebecca Wertz in the spring of 1835. ^[1] The son of George an Magdalena (Fry) Kring.

Samuel was a farner, Lay Minister for The Evangelical Association, and a merchant.

In 1850 and 1860 Samuel and Rebecca were in Rickland Twp., Cambria, Pennsylvania. ^{[2] [3]}

They had six children:

• Sarah D. (1837-1927) Died in Salix, PA.
• Aaron (1840-1862) Died in Salix, PA.
• Anna (1841-___) No Data.
• Mary (1842-1902) Died in Salix, PA.
• Lydia Kring (1845-1924)
• Henry (____-____) Died in Salix, PA.^[4]

In 1880 he and Rebecca lived in Adams, Cambria, Pennsylvania.^[5]

Samuel and his wife died in a fire in their home on 22 January 1892. ^{[6] [7]}
