Born Elizabeth was born about 1792 in Gosport Hampshire - based on later Census data.
Marriage Elizabeth married John Barber on 17 July 1815 in Saint Matthew, Bethnal Green: Saint Matthew's Row, Tower Hamlets [1]. John's sister Mary Ann Barber was one of the witnesses.
In 1841[2] Elizabeth (45) and John (50) "shoe maker" were living together with their children Mary (15), Frances (10), John (7) and Harriet (3) in Hoxton Old Town.
In 1851[3] "Eliza" (57) and John (63) "shoe maker" were living at 13 Tottenham Square, West Hackney together with their children Mary (26), Frances (17) and John (16) "butcher" as well as granddaughter Ann Barber (5).
In 1861[4] Elizabeth M (60) "charwoman" and John (74) "shoe maker" were living at 7, Ebenezer Place, St Johns Hackney together with a boarder Matthew Barber (13) "scholar) and grandson Frederick Barber (4).
In 1871[6]
Elizabeth (79) was living with her married daughter Frances (39) and her husband Frederick Smith (48) "beer retailer" in St Luke Holborn London together with their daughter Hester (4).
Died Elizabeth Mary Barber died age 83 in 1875 [7].
