Biography
Gideon King, son of Jonathan King (1683-1774) and Mary (French) King (1686-1758) was born 24 Aug 1729 in Bolton, Tolland Co., Connecticut. Transcribed Bolton church records show "Gideon, son of Jonathan King," Baptized 19 Jul 1729, the source of the discrepancy unknown. [1] [2]
Gideon's parents are buried at the Old Burial Ground of North Bolton, Vernon, Tolland County, Connecticut. (Jonathan died 1774, Mary (French) King died 1758). [3]
On "28 May 1766 (?)" (sic) Gideon King and Charity Tucker, "Both of Bolton" were married at Bolton, Tolland Co., Connecticut, according to Bolton town records. [4]
