Biography

Charles King, son of Jonathan King (1683-1774) and Mary French King (1686-1758) was born in Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony, 3 Jul 1716. ^[1]

On 5 Sept 1739, Charles King married Sarah King of Bolton, born Weymouth, Massachusetts 5 May 1717, ^[2] daughter of Hezekiah King, b. Weymouth MA (1690-1740), and Sarah (Reed) King, b. Weymouth, MA (1694-1750) of Bolton, Tolland Co., Connecticut, born . ^[3]

A Bolton, Connecticut land deed dated 4 June, 1745, lists five children of the late Deacon Hezekiah King Sr., including "...Charles and Sarah King of Bolton; and Mary King of Bolton, children of Hezekiah King, late of Oblong, Dutchess Co., deceased." ^[4] This deed clarifies that the Sarah King Charles married was indeed the daughter of Deacon Hezekiah King Sr., and Sarah (Reed) King.
