Arthur Norman King was born on 28 May 1886 in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia ^[1] to Henry Blanchard King and Elizabeth (Horsfield) King. ^[2]

He enlisted in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force on 14 January 1915. ^[1]

Arthur died on 31 August 1918 in France and was buried at the Hem Farm Military Cemetery in Hem-Monacu, Departement de la Somme, Picardie, France. ^[3]
