Biography
Benjamin King (1845-4 Dec 1930) = Bessie DeWolf (daughter of James Ratchford De Wolf = Ellen Bibby) son of William, son of Elisha Sr, son of Nathan)
Benjamin was born in c1845 in Parrsborough [sic] NS, son of Rev. William and Alida King of Parrsborough.
Ben was married in 1867 in Halifax, NS, to Bessie A Y DeWolf, daughter of Thomas (Gov't official - postal) and Sophia DeWolfe[1]
In 1871, Benjamin D., merchant, 31, Elizabeth, 21 and William B., 1 were residing with his parents, two servants and a nursery maid in Mill Village, Cumberland Co., Nova Scotia.[2]
In 1881, Benjamin, ship captain, married, 37, was residing with his brother Winfield and his family in Mill Village. His wife and son are not present. [3]
In 1901, Benjamin, was a sailor, divorced, age 55, and was lodging in Parrsboro, NS.[4]
Benjamin was a merchant sea captain and was separated from wife.
He died in 1930 at the Masonic Nursing /Retirement Home, Windsor Nova Scotia NS.
