Winfield Yates King (20 Jun 1835-30 Aug 1921) = 12 Sep 1872 Mary Eliner Yates (21 Oct 1852-2 Feb 1913)

Winfield was born in 1835 in Windsor Nova Scotia.^[1]

The 1871 Canadian census lists Winfield as a married, 35 yr old, single, NS born, of English origin, Church of England adherent, merchant, living in Mill Village (Parrsboro) NS.^[2]

He was a magistrate and Justice of the Peace in Parrsboro NS.

He was married in 12 Sep 1872 in (Mill Village) Parrsboro NS, Canada to Mary Eliner [sic] Yates. ^[3]

The 1881 Cdn census lists him as Wintfield Y as a 46 yr old, married, NS born, of English origin, Church of England adherent, magistrate, living in Mill Village (Parrsboro) NS.^[4]

The 1891 Cdn census lists him incorrectly as W S, a 55 yr old, married, NS born, C E adherent, magistrate, living in Parrsboro NS.^[5]

The 1901 Cdn census lists him as a 65 yr old (19 Jun 1835) married, NS-born, English-Cdn, Church of England adherent, clerk, living in Parrsborough NS. ^[6]

The 1911 Cdn census lists him as N Y K a 75 yr old, married, NS born, English-Cdn, Church of England adherent, J P (Justice of the Peace) and Notary Public, living in Parrsboro NS.^[7]

The 1921 Cdn census lists him as an 86 yr old, widowed, NS born, English-Cdn, Church of England adherent, still serving as a JP and living in Black Rock, Parrsboro NS.^[8]

He died in 1921 in Parrsboro, Cumberland, NS^[9]and was buried in Parrsboro.^[10]

All of his children were born in Cumberland Co NS.
