Biography

Nelson was born in 1841 to Joseph and Matilda (Mosher) King. His military pension noted that he suffered from rheumatism and was deaf in his right ear. He passed away in 1912.

Nelson enlisted into Company F of the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry on August 1, 1862 at age 21 as Private. He was mustered out with the regiment at the end of the war.
