Biography

James was born in 1866. In the Patterson Family Bible it is written "James C. King was born January 12th in the year of our lord 1866". [1] He was the son of John King and Ann Patterson.

In 1870 James was 4 and living with his parents and four siblings. [2]

In 1880 he was 14 and living with his parents and brother Alexander in Iowa. [3]

He married Effie Liddick in 1887. [4][5] In the Patterson Family Bible it is written "James C King was married to Effie Liddick January 6th in the year of our Lord 1887". [6]

  2. Edna. Married in 1908. [9]
  3. Harry b 1892. [10]
  4. John. Married in 1911. [11]
  5. Walter. Married in 1924. [12]
  6. Lillian b 1902. [13] Married in 1920. [14]
  7. Leonard b 1904. [15]

In 1900 James was living with his wife and four children (Clarence, Edna, John and Walter) in Iowa. [16]

In 1910 he was living in Iowa with his wife and four children: John, Walter, Lillie and Leonard. [17]

He passed away in 1923. Was a brick layer at time of passing. He was 57. [18][19] He was buried on 20 Jun 1923. [20]

James was buried in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. [21]
