Biography

Ebenezer King; son of Consider King and Sarah Palmer, was born on 15 Jun 1761 in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts.

His date of birth 15 Jun 1761 was published by George F. J. King in the Sep 1909 issue of The Genealogical Exchange (vol. 6, no. 5, p 35; see photo attachment), [1] along with the dates of birth of his ten siblings, with no corroborating sources for any of the dates of birth or death. (However, the dates of birth of Ebenezer, Beriah and Abigail can be corroborated as cited, the ages of Sarah and William in the 1850 US Census are both consistent with their published dates of birth, and Ebenezer stated in his Revolutionary War pension file that the source of his date of birth was the family Bible):

6) Sarah King b. 22 Apr 1772; date of death unknown; m. Samuel Greenleaf.

7) Consider King b. 23 May 1774; d. 19 Aug 1848.

8) William King b. 05 Oct 1776; date of death unknown.

9) Ariel King b. 09 Feb 1779; d. 23 Mar 1813.

10) Abigail King b. 12 Oct 1781; [7] d. 07 Dec 1840. [8]

11) Rebecca King b. 28 Sep 1784; d. 13 Oct 1807.

The Descendants of Elder Thomas King

Ebenezer married Jerusha Hathaway; daughter of Thomas Hathaway and Hannah Ramsden, on 18 Oct 1787 at Berkley, Bristol, Massachusetts. [9]

After relocating from Rochester, Plymouth MA to Hillsdale, Columbia, NY to Rensselaerville, Albany, NY to Locke, Cayuga, NY; Ebenezer King died on 03 May 1841 and Jerusha King died on 12 Nov 1841 in Locke.
