Biography

Sir Robert King, eldest son of Sir John King and his wife Catherine Drury was born about 1599. ^[1]

Robert was Knighted in his father's lifetime. ^[2]

Sir Robert King, Muster-Master General of Ireland married 1st. to Frances Folliott, daughter of Henry Folliott, 1st Lord Folliott, Baron of Ballyshannon and Anne Strode. ^[1]

1636 inherited on the death of his father and lived at Boyle Abbey, County Roscommon, Ireland

1637 / 38 Death of Frances ^[2]

married 2nd after 1639 to Sophia Zouche, daughter of Sir Edward Zouche of Woking, Surrey and widow of Sir Edward Cecil, Viscount Wimbleton ^[2]

Robert King made his will in April 1657 dying that year at Cecil House in the Strand, London ^[2]
