George Washington King was born on 3 Jun 1892 in Carroll County, Georgia. His parents were Martin Ambrose King and Mary Rebecca "Polly Ann" Williams King.

On the 1900 Census, George Washington King was found living in Carroll County, Georgia, with his parents, Martin Ambrose King and Mary Rebecca "Polly Ann" Williams King. Three of his siblings were also living in the household: William T. King, John Henry King, and Leon Martin King. George was seven at the time of the census. According to the census, George and his parents were born in Georgia. George was listed as attending school.

According to the 1910 Census, George was still living in Carroll County, Georgia with his parents and siblings: George Henry King, Leon Martin King, Leonard W. King, and Lockie Edna King. George was listed as being 17 and single. He was working as a farm laborer on a home farm. He did not attend school. He and his parents were again listed as being born in Georgia.

He married Rosie Jane Smith King on 1 September 1912 in Carroll County, Georgia.

According to the 1920 Census, George Washington King, his wife Rosie Smith King, and their son, Lelton King were living in Carroll County, Georgia in the household of Leon Martin King who was George's brother. He was working as a farm laborer and was 28 years old.

According to the 1930 Census, George Washington King and his wife, Rosie Smith King, were living in Buncombe, Haralson County, Georgia with three children. He was working as a farmer on a general farm.

According to the 1940 Census, George and Rosie Jane Smith King were still living in Haralson County, Georgia and were living with four children. Ruth Ella Warren Smith, mother of Rosie Jane Smith, was also living with the family. George was still working as a farmer on a general farm.

George Washington King died 15 Dec 1966. He was buried at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Waco, Haralson County, Georgia.
