George Washington King was born on 3 Jun 1892 in Carroll County, Georgia. His parents were Martin Ambrose King and Mary Rebecca "Polly Ann" Williams King.

On the 1900 Census, George Washington King was found living in Carroll County, Georgia, with his parents, Martin Ambrose King and Mary Rebecca "Polly Ann" Williams King. Three of his siblings were also living in the household: William T. King, John Henry King, and Leon Martin King. George was seven at the time of the census. According to the census, George and his parents were born in Georgia. George was listed as attending school.

According to the 1910 Census, George was still living in Carroll County, Georgia with his parents and siblings: George Henry King, Leon Martin King, Leonard W. King, and Lockie Edna King.
